Chelsea have an active network of scouts across the planet. That network has identified 2 youngsters in Spain, to whom Chelsea will apparently be offering contracts.

The first is an 18 year-old centerback, by the name of Guillem Savall, signed to Barcelona club Espanyol. Chelsea are said to have tabled an offer to sign him, and so attractive is their offer that Espanyol are apparently resigned to losing the pearl of their youth team.

Savall is said to be a very bright prospect, already an international at all youth levels. If he stays, the player is expected to move into the Espanyol first team very soon.

All this has not been lost on Chelsea, who were the first to track him one year ago.

Chelsea are said to have made it clear to Savall`s entourage that they were prepared to sign him that he should be prepared to open negotiations. Chelsea`s offer is said to include a professional contract if the player is prepared to move to England.

Chelsea`s gain would be very much Espanyol`s lost, as Espanyol would receive a mere €130,000 in compensation for his training fees according to FIFA norms. It is for this reason that Espanyol are said to be so resigned to losing a player who is destined to a very bright future, a solid defender who moves the ball nicely up the field.

The other Spanish player on Chelsea`s list is Emilio Nsue, of Mallorca. He might be only 17, but Chelsea have already met with Mallorca officials to hammer out a deal for the striker. The Mallorca coach, Gregorio Manzano, admitted as much: "if it is true that Chelsea has been watching Emilio, it`s a source of happiness that a club of that side can notice a player of the Mallorca academy".

This news bypassed Chelsea`s regular scout in Spain, Juan Cruz Sol. He, like the rest of the club, are desperately trying to deny what everyone else seems to know. "I don`t know anything about this subject, and I don`t have any information. We are following many players, but there is a long way from that to the information published about Nsue`.

Nevertheless, Mallorca itself admitted a meeting last week between the player`s tutor Jaime Jaume, and an investment agency called 'Inverfútbol`. Strangely the boss of this company, Bartomeu Cursach, denied such a meeting or any links with Nsue`s entourage. Jaume declared that "yes, I received a call to attend a meeting at the offices of Inverfútbol, at which I was asked about Emilio`s situation at Mallorca, and at which I said very clearly that the player has a professional contract until 2012. I also said that we were very satisfied with the treatment of both the player and his family by the club and Nsue`s sporting situation at the club".

These were the words published on the Mallorca website which helped contradict the rumours going around that Chelsea had offered a contract of 4 years and €9 million. The kid might have broken into the Spanish national youth team, but that is quite some offer. "We only talked of Emilio`s situation at Mallorca and how he feels on a sporting level, nothing more. I want to insist that both the player and his family want Emilio to triumph at Mallorca".

Despite such denials, there are strong rumours that Chelsea have come in with an offer.
