2007 FEEDBACK

1
Dear Mr. Fisher,

We would like to share with you our feedback on Colin’s YPT Residence Program experience. We would like to commend you and the entire program for excellence in facilities, staff, coaches/trainers and overall organization.

The YPT Residence Program was a positive experience for Colin in every aspect. From the moment Colin learned of the YPT program, he demonstrated an escalated level of interest and commitment to developing his soccer abilities. Given that we reside in a small community with limited soccer programs/resources, Colin has not had the opportunity to experience higher levels of play and his exposure to training and skill development has only been in recent months, since we have joined the USTA program in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Thus, the opportunity to apply to the YPT residence program was the first exposure Colin has had to this level of soccer. The application process in and of itself promoted an awareness of the importance of doing your best in all areas, both on and off the soccer field. It facilitated a desire to set and achieve goals. Being accepted to the YPT Residence camp was very exciting for Colin. He prepared for the week both mentally and physically, but he was concerned that his skills were not going to be competitive with the other campers. The coaches and trainers were absolutely fantastic in helping Colin to develop not only his technical skills, but also his confidence in his abilities. He left camp with the desire to continue to grow as a player and an ever growing passion for the game of soccer. Thank you for the experience. We look forward to future opportunities.

Peggy and Shane S., mother and father of Colin, u15 United States Training Academy (PA)
this is kevin w. the camp was very good i liked meeting all of the trainers from around the world one thing i didn't like about the camp is that there was no a.c and that was a bumer.  but overall it was pretty fun i am looking forward to go to the camp next year! Thank You

Kevin W., u13 Kirkwood Ajax Premier / ODP (DE)
John,

YPT was once again a terrific experience. Zack definitely appreciated and benefited from the daily goalie sessions with Alex. Thanks for such a strong group of coaches who really engaged with the kids...we appreciate your hard work to make this camp happen!!

Amanda S., mother of Zach, u13 LANCO United (PA)
Dear John,

I just wanted to thank you for giving Brandon the opportunity to attend your program despite his age. Brandon has been to several advanced soccer camps but this is the one he has talked most about. He did not have one negative comment about the camp. Brandon was so excited to tell his coaches and trainer about his experience at YPT! I know that he looks forward to going back next year if he is selected. Thank you for making YPT such a great experience for him!

Sincerely,

Rika S., mother of Brandon, u12 PDA McGeough (NJ)
Dear John,

I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work towards such a successful YPT event for our boys. Both Tony and Johnny are still talk about the program and how much they enjoyed and learnt from the week. I know it is a bit late sending feedback, but late better than never, as I have been traveling and holidays! Apologies for lateness.

I look forward to hear from future events for our boys.

Best wishes

Dr. Ali R., father of Jon and Anthony, u13 and u15 FC DelCo (PA)
John, Shane came home and he was flying high about the week he had just spent at YPT. I would be interested to see how you rated him.

Thanks for a great week

Hi John,

Once again I want to thank you for accepting David into the Residence Program on short notice. He really enjoyed his time and thought the quality of the training was excellent.

Joe M., father of David, u13 Real Juniors (VA)

Liked:

-The quality of soccer played
-The facility of St. Andrews
-I liked my trainer
-The talent show was a great idea

Disliked:

-The meal times (to early)
-The selection of foods (should have a big buffet of the same things everyday)

I look forward to participating next year.

David M., u13 Real Juniors (VA)
Thanks John for giving the kids the opportunity to train at this level. Keep us posted of any new programs.

John:

Sorry for the lateness of my reply regarding feedback. I just wanted to relay that my son was incredibly impressed with the camp this summer. Although he came into camp with an injured groin pull, he was able to participate the whole week and truly experience the quality of the training. He said that the caliber of coaching and the caliber of play far exceeded any camp he has been to to date. Thank you for everything and a special thanks to Coach Veyt and the training staff for making the week a memorable one for Aaron.

Doug Fiegel, (Father of Aaron, rising u14 BRYC BOCA).

John,

After much thought and debate Alek will have to decline his spot at YPT this year. In all honesty he would love to come, he said he wants to play for Coach Veyt again this year. As we look at his past year, he went from spring season, to US clubs hopped in a car to YPT left YPT directly to US club nationals, came home and started playing in a mens amatuer league. He honestly has not had a week of soccer off in about 18 months (he plays club soccer year round instead of HS) His body is starting to really pay the price. We can't seem to keep any weight on him and the little injuries are acting up. His team will be at Regionals this year at the end of June and then he will get in the car and go straight to US club, he would have to leave US club and go straight to YPT and I think his body needs some time to heal. He is hoping that he will be able to attend your European training program with his brothers( u10 and u11) next year (but timing is bad with regional dates for us region 2 folks). He still speaks fondly of his time at camp last year, and enjoys seeing the "East Coast" guys at the major tournaments. Good Luck with you program this year. We have a 2 younger boys that I know will want to attend in the future.

Hi John,

The week did not work out as well for Matt as we hoped when we enrolled him many months ago, since we had no idea there would be a national team camp in CA (it was supposed to be in NJ). I will say this, we were very impressed with your reachability and efforts to keep us informed about Matt's health. The trainer was excellent and we very much appreciate his good care. Actually, a big compliment! so thank you.

All in all, looked like a wonderful camp with great coaches and kids! Hope Matt can come in full next year!

Kathy S., mother of Matt, u15 PDA Ronaldo / u15 US National Team (NJ)
Hey John,

I meant to call you but now you beat us with your email.

You have put together a truly wonderful program. Andres loved it, and was especially excited about all the outstanding trainers. He said the atmosphere was great, the soccer perfect, and the food good & plentiful (always a concern, in particular for Mom).

At any rate, thanks again for a great camp, and we are looking forward to hopefully coming back next year!

Markus R., father of Andreas, u14 MOS Olympic (VA)
John,

My son has been playing soccer at a high level since he started playing travel. Over that time he has had access to some great coaching, development and camps. Never have I seen him as excited about the game of soccer as he was at the end of the YPT camp. He immediately put to use what he learned at camp but more importantly, his coach Michael, from Bayern Munich, and the other trainers imbued him with a real love for the game. The post camp analysis given by his coach was dead-on as well. In addition to the soccer, he had a blast in the dorms with the other players. Great program!

Best,

Brendan O., father of Ryan, u13 West Chester United (PA) [EPA 2007 State Cup Champion]
Colin McNAbb had a great experience, and very much looking forward to next year.

John:

Thanks for everything! Colin had a great time and said the coaches and players were all very good, and he really liked the food.

Also, a big thanks to Rick for everything he did for Colin (his daughters even brought cookies to the school) and to Andrew (Ferry I think?) for taking Colin to the airport. I have Rick's info, but can you give me Andrew's address so Colin can send him a thank you note also?

Thanks again, and best of luck. Hopefully Colin will be able to do it again, Greg

John Fisher and staff-

I just spoke to Mark who is at the Rutgers Soccer Camp this week and he says nothing has ever compared to YPT. You sure have set the bar high- so congrats. I guess since he is going to be 17 we have outgrown residence camp but maybe not the European tours!

Thanks so Much.

Gina and Mark L., mother and father of Mark, u16 LANCO United Premier (PA)

John,

thank you for a great week, it was very enjoyable and the training really helped me as a player. If there was one thing that i would think could possibly be made better would be the time of dinner, to me and some of the other players it seemed a little early, although i understand that it is needed to be at that time so we can digest our food before the games. I had a lot of fun at YPT and i know a lot of friends who were there with me also enjoyed it.

I'll be sure to tell my friends what a great experience YPT is, and was for me.

Many thanks,

Jonathan R., u16 FC DelCo (PA)
John,

What a one of a kind opportunity you have created for these players. Conor is still raving about it. Nothing but superlatives. He plans on using his evaluation throughout this next year as a blueprint to grow and improve as a player. Conor has returned to Tucson with a renewed and strengthened desire to work and play hard at the game he truly loves.

Definitely worth the trip from the desert! An amazing experience.

Thanks for allowing Conor to participate,

I think you will see more applications from this part of the country after Conor's exceptional experience. He is telling everyone and he proudly wears his YPT shirt everywhere.! Good luck with all your endeavors.

Is there any way to order white YPT socks?

Jeannie J., mother of Conor, u12 Tucson Soccer Academy (AZ)
John,

Seth and I wanted to thank you for another great YPT week. Seth looks forward to the middle of July every year. As with the last two years the training was top notch. The training staff you bring over are from the best clubs in Europe. The combination of high level trainers and the quality of boys in Seth age group make for a very beneficial week of training.

Although Seth in a Center Mid player, Seth played mostly defense in the nightly games. Naturally Seth had some questions and adjustments to his game but trainer Phil Huber (FC Berne Young Boys club) was always available for encouragement and instructions. I believe by playing more defense Seth came away from camp a better all around player.

God willing Seth will be back next July.

Regards,

Will H., father of Seth, u13 Spirit United (PA)
Hi, John.

I just wanted to let you know that my son, Hunter Hopkins (rising U12 player), was very impressed with the camp. He felt that he learned some things that will help him improve his decision making on the field, improved some of his ball skills, and he was happy that the level of play provided challenge. He was especially impressed with his coach (the Manchester United Coach), as was I -- from the brief interaction we had and the feedback he provided on the evaluation form. It was a very nice experience for Hunter to attend a camp which provided him a real opportunity to improve his game as opposed to only repeating drills that he has done many times before and then having competitions with players of varying levels of skill.

Hunter is already looking forward to coming again next summer -- so you'll definitely hear from us again.

Hunter also appreciated the fact that the food was great, and the St. Andrews campus was, of course, fabulous!

Thanks for an excellent opportunity and a well-run camp!

Pam H., mother of Hunter, u12 MSC United (VA)
Hi John,

I want to thank you and your wonderful staff at YPT (Mick. Ronnie, Phillip). I really think that the reason for Joseph's success on the National Team and in Europe is because of the good training habits he has been exposed to at YPT. We are in Germany right now, and it is amazing the kind of influence Ronnie has here Bayern Munich. Joseph played his first game the with the U-17's. They won 4-2 and Joseph played well and scored. They told us that he needs to work on his heading and service from the wings, but they like him.

Thank you again John,

Philip G., father of Joseph, u17 US National Team
Dear John,

Thank you for another great year at YPT. Michael really enjoyed himself. He met some new friends and the soccer was great.

Steve and Carol G., mother of Michael, u15 FC Delco (PA)
Hi John!

In any event I had intended to send you a quick note to express my sincerest gratitude & appreciation for how much my son Nick enjoyed his time at your camp this summer. We had heard many, many good things about this program over the years but neglected to sign up primarily because my wife Cathi & I had concerns that it followed too closely on the foot of his ODP camp. I wanted to also take this opportunity to mention that Nick was especially impressed with his U15/16 coach from Real Madrid, Guti, who he felt was extremely knowledgeable & who apparently had a great way with the boys.

Thank you again for providing this incredible soccer experience for the boys & we will very much look forward to applying to attend your camp next summer!

Best Regard

Ed B., father of Nick, u16 Kirkwood Nemisis (DE)
Hello John, thanks for providing Jordan the opportunity to participate in the recently concluded program at St. Andrews. It was a great experience for him and he is even more motivated and enthusiastic about playing and developing good habits since his return to home. Being in that atmosphere was the best thing for him as he competed and trained with quality players and top level coaches. He is already looking forward to next year and we will be utilizing that half of scholarship that he got for the U11/12 MVP award.

Thanks again, and we will see you next year.

Howard A., father of Jordan, u13 Rochester Jr. Rhinos (NY)
Hi John,

It has been a crazy summer for us, so our feedback for this year's Residence Program is not as timely as I was planning. Once again Nate had a great experience. He enjoys and respects Stuart from Manchester United as a trainer. When I asked him if he learned anything new he responded with a yes, and that Stuart reminded him of some things he learned last year.

You run a great program John. Nate always leaves the Residence Program wanting more training, and the chance to play at a higher level of soccer.

Thank you for providing excellent training.

Sue A., mother of Nate, u15 Spirit United (PA)
The camps amazing. Nothing to change.
