RESIDENCE PROGRAM FEEDBACK

Hi John.....I hope all is well.  Sorry I missed coming to camp this year (I was away at a conference in St Lake City).  I always enjoy watching the boys play as well as the closing activities.  Here are some of our thoughts regarding camp.  Manolo will email you directly with his comments.

We believe that YPTusa's summer program is without reserve, the best camp in the region.  The unique opportunity to train with some of Europe's best coaches allows for player development at the highest level.  We particularly appreciate the written evaluation that each player receives which helps identify areas/weaknesses.  Manolo will use this information to develop strategies to help him improve his game for the upcoming season.  He always comes back energized and excited about playing (although exhausted!).

The most difficult aspect of the camp is the timing with ODP and Region I tournament.  I know there isn't a perfect time for camp, since most teams begin fall training in early August.  It's difficult from a financial (for parents) and physical aspect (for players) to go from one activity to the next.  I don't know if there are any solutions for this.

And finally, we believe that the camp is run in a professional and fun loving environment that creates a great soccer atmosphere on and off  the pitch. Thanks for giving our son this wonderful opportunity!

Hi John.....Jas had a wonderful time again this year and enjoyed the coaches.  Although, he said that he did not "put out" like he did last year because he had just come off of Regional ID camp; and was fortunate enough to have been selected for the Regional call back pool camp, which was 2 days after YPT.

As you know since his bout with cancer in January, he has been quite focused to get his game back.  YPT continues to be a vehicle to do just that and both Jas and I continue to be excited about the program; we feel that the training received at this program is one of the best in the area.  We look forward to next year's program and the continued success of YPT.

I guess the only thing both Jas and I would like to see is that the timing of the camp not conflict with Regional / National ID camps.

P.S. Give us a call regarding training.

Tamara H.,
mother of Jason, FC Delco [regional, national pool player]

Hello John.....This is my first chance to get back to you with some feedback on the week Nick spent at the YPT program.

John we feel the program was "outstanding" in every way. As you know my wife Maureen and I were able to observe the training Sunday evening, Monday morning and then again Thursday afternoon and into the evening when we picked Nick up. I was very impressed with the drills and "mini games" the players went through. The trainers were exceptional, especially the way they handled the players, always with respect and with definite care as to their progress.

The quality of players at the camp was also outstanding. I believe this point alone will help raise Nick's game to new heights. One of our biggest concerns is having Nick play with very skilled players so that he can learn. I believe when you play with players that are more skilled than you, your game improves. YPT delivered, the players were outstanding.

I have no doubt that the YPT program helped Nick improve as a player. Not only were his skills enhanced but I believe his mental attitude about the game was elevated a notch or two. Not a day goes by that he isn't out in the yard practicing moves or shooting on his net.

The proof is in the practice. As you know we left Lock Haven for Rochester NY and a select tournament in Brockport. In the first game Nick scored the game winning goal in a tough 2-1 game against a good Rochester U12 team. During the rest of the tournament he assisted on numerous goals and made some great plays. His team eventually lost in the finals 3-2 to the Rochester Junior Rhino's but they came
back from a 3-0 deficit at halftime and Nick set up both goals in the second half as their rally fell short. Many of the other parents on our team asked me what Nick did to improve his game as they felt he looked like a different player from the previous week in the Pocono Cup Tournament. I told them to go to your website !!!

We are delighted with his progress and the things he learned at your camp. He's ready to come back next year if you'll invite him. To that extent if there ever is an opportunity before next year for Nick to work with you please let us know. My wife and I respect your soccer knowledge and more importantly your ability to convey that knowledge to players. I hope to be able to set up a training date for you with Nick's Premier Team and his coach. I think the entire team could benefit from your skills. I'll be in touch later about this.

John, if you ever decide to take a younger team to Europe to play as you did with the older kids last year please let us know as Nick was really impressed with your video of that trip and has set his sights on going some day.

In closing we are all grateful for Nick's experience with you and the YPT program. I hope that we can remain in contact and if you are able to visit to train Nick's team or visit one of their tournaments that would be great.

Thanks again.

Joe F., father of Nick

Dear Mr. Fisher.....I am very pleased with my first year at YPT.  I learned a lot.  They taught you so much that I wrote notes after almost every session, and the trainers were great.  They were so eager to teach you that it made you want to learn.  The training sessions were really beneficial because the trainer taught you effective moves for you to learn, to either make space or just flat out beat your defender. I am anxious for next year when I come back for my second year to learn even more and improve my game.

John.....Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you.....I have been meaning to write to tell you what a great experience Conor had at the Residence Program over the summer.  He was very excited to be able to spend a week with such a high level coaching staff.  Conor has been to many camps (college & odp, among others) and came away from yours with a renewed interest in playing soccer at a higher level.  Thank you for a great week!

The most difficult part of Conor's soccer experience has been finding top caliber competition that would push him to perform at a higher level, combined with receiving top level coaching. Coming off a week of playing with and against national and regional players at the regional camp, I wasn't sure if Conor would be "up" for competing and learning at your program.  But it took him a day of getting to know the other boys and by the second day was very enthusiastic in telling us about the coaching and the play at your program!

I hope you have received the application for the 2006 European tour.  Conor is very excited about the possibility of being chosen for the tour.  I realize he is a couple of months under the age you are looking for, but he is very confident he can play with anyone you will be sending over, and would be thrilled to go up against the European players!

Thanks again, and will talk to you soon!

John.....On behalf of my family, I am writing to thank you for providing our son, Omar, with a great opportunity to train with some of the best youth coaches from Europe.  Omar had a great experience both in terms of soccer development, cultural exchange and personal growth.

I had the opportunity to observe some of the YPT sessions.  Clearly, the coaches were very dedicated to their passion and were able to communicate not only soccer skills but also the passion one needs to further develop.  Furthermore, the YPT staff was always at hand to ensure that nothing perturbed the great atmosphere of the program.

I can assure you that Omar has greatly benefited from his YPT experience and is looking forward to, hopefully, many more YPT programs.

Thank you and best wishes,

Noureddine M., father of Omar, u15 CDSA (DE) [03, 05 State Cup Champions]

John....Busy summer, never got back to you with written feedback, but, we have identified one problem with the YPT Residence Program...It is now impossible to attend other camps, as they all pale in comparison! Cameron had an excellent experience @ the Residence Program. He enjoyed the training & was most impressed with the player talent. The camp was extremely organized. Cam appreciated that he knew what was going on at all times. We'll never forget the excitement in his voice in his first phone call home. Amazingly, his enthusiasm continued to grow daily! In Cam's words, "the best camp by several lengths..." (Yes, we're a horse racing family.) Thanks again for the opportunity!

Hi John.....Thank you again for working with us to allow Josiah to come to camp. We feel like it was a very instrumental experience in Josiah’s growth asa soccer player and a young man. He was very impressed with the programand really appreciated his trainer.

Josiah also told how you made a stand on a movie that you did not think was appropriate. John, I really appreciate and admire you for that. I entrusted Josiah to your care and believe you did an awesome job. Thanks again.

John.....My son, Jordan Kemble loved your program and his coach.. He told my husband and I he learned a lot of new techniques that he was not familiar with. He has not stopped talking about it since he has left the campus. Do you have any other training locally? Thanks again for an outstanding program!!!!!

John.....I wanted to extend my deep appreciation for the careful planning, exceptional attention to important detail, and of course the personal gratification my son Phillip received in the intense week he spent in Delaware. He hasn’t stopped talking about it, and he hopes that he will be invited to come next year as well. As a matter of fact, several parents from his PDA Ronaldo team approached me and stated that they would be interested in having their boys attend next year as well.

Keep up the great work, and do not hesitate to use me as a reference.

John.....Thank you for an unbelievable week.  I am sure you know that William was invited to come over to Manchester by Phil Brogan to be looked at by the Man U Academy.  What a thrill!  I will call you next week to discuss further but cannot thank you enough for this opportunity.

John.....Seth and I wanted to forward a thank you for the program last week. Seth stated that the week was the hardest and most rewarding soccer experience he has had.  Seth and I were impressed with the quality of trainers and their coaching abilities. I was a little worried about Seth's age (U10) with the other older boys, but as Seth said "all of the boys made me feel as if I were their age" (totally accepted). The camp was well run and for a parent this is a great comfort.  Seth will be there next year if he is accepted

Thanks again.

John.....My son Conor attended the YPT program (U11/12) last week.  I just wanted to tell you that I thought the standard of play was outstanding, the competition was keen and the coaching was superb.

Conor enjoyed the week and learned a great deal from both the coaches and other players in camp.  Overall, YPT was an outstanding experience for Conor.  When he returned home, he took to the back yard to practice new moves with a passion that I have not seen in a while.  Your camp re-ignited his passion for the game.  As a life long soccer player I was thrilled to see him completely re-engaged in the sport.

He has not stopped talking about Phil Brogan (Manchester United academy trainer) since getting home.  Phil had a tremendous positive impact on Conor.  I noticed Phil's efforts on Thursday night to work with Conor and show him some tricks of the trade.  Conor has been working on those moves consistently and I have seen him applying them in scrimmages.  Please pass along my thanks and best regards to Phil.

Thanks again for putting together such a high quality experience for all the boys.  Your efforts have made a significant difference in Conor's game.

YPT's Residence Program is slowly, but surely, becoming one of the best summer training opportunities in the United States. The program relies heavily on what players, their parents, and trainers have to say about past experiences.

John.....I just wanted to thank you again for another great week.  Once again, Steven had a terrific time, and he still considers your program the best camp he's ever attended.  Please let us know about any other programs you are running.  Enjoy the rest of your summer!

John.....I just wanted to say thanks to you and the great staff of trainers that you had at this year's YPT Resience Program. Chris had a spectacular time with the other athletes and learned much from the excellent staff. Chris was looking forward to camp for many weeks prior to the start and continues to talk about the great training he got from Phil and the other trainers.

Thanks for all of your hard work in putting together and executing a great soccer program. Hopefully we will see you around this coming fall.
