The ultimate goal of everything that YPT does is to get players noticed by professional European clubs. We firmly believe that American players can make it at the highest level if they are A) trained properly, and B) given the opportunity to be seen.

YPT’s Residence Program attempts to both. It provides a week of exceptional training by some of the best academy trainers from Europe while at the same time allows players the chance to be seen by some of Europe’s biggest and best clubs. At the end of every one-week Residence Program each summer, one on one meetings are held with YPT director John Fisher and each of the academy trainers to discuss which players might be ready for the European level.

If the trainers think there are any players that are ready to be seen in Europe then arrangements are made for the players to visit one, or several, professional clubs to train with future professionals their own age.

From the 2005 Residence Program, several players were shown interest by the top clubs in attendance. Read on to find out more about some American player’s experience at the highest level in Europe.
